Happy New Year to you all! Seems like this year has started off on the right foot already. We've just received word that "The Rose Garden" has been officially selected into the New Haven International Film Festival. I'm really looking forward to meeting the community of filmmakers and interacting with the locals out there. The festival takes place on May 2nd-6th so if you're in the area and would like to watch the film and hang out, be sure to come on through!

Thank You Mississippi!

My first road trip to the Deep South was a complete blessing! I was treated to some real southern hospitality along with some tasty BBQ. When I arrived at the Temple Theater, I was captivated by its beauty. This theater used to be one of the most prolific entertainment centers in Meridian. It housed all city folk who went to watch the first "talkies" of the time. To see The Rose Garden play on the big screen was an experience I will remember for the rest of my life. To win Best Short Narrative was truly something we were not expecting, but elated to hear! Mississippi, thank you for being so good to us city folk from NJ. We love you and we'll be seeing you down the road!

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend the Grove Film Festival. The Rose Garden was warmly received and I met some really great folks while I was there. It's a powerful thing to see filmmakers who are all creating there own content that is meaningful to their life. It was a real blessing to get the chance to be there and I'm grateful for the opportunity. (Also, our lead actress Victoria Ratermanis was awarded with Best Actress in a Film!!)

For the people I constantly see supporting my work by showing up to events, calling me to talk, or just simply leaving a message here or there, I want to address you all personally. Your support is what keeps me going. To be told by the people you care about that "you are doing the right thing, you are where you're supposed to be, and please continue your work" is the most rewarding and fulfilling gift to the soul. I love you and will continue the journey.

Sincerely,

Dave

First Blog Ever!

Thanks so much for checking in! I'm really excited about having a website to connect with you all! As of right now, i'm getting ready to pack up for a road trip (another first ever for me) to Meridian, Mississippi. My team and I have been lucky enough to be officially selected to the Rails to Reels Film Festival for the short film "The Rose Garden" which I acted in and co-wrote. I'm humbled by the outpouring support we've been receiving from people who have watched the film and from festivals who continue to bless us with the opportunity to attend and screen. It really feels like "the little film that could".

I'll make sure to keep you all updated on how the journey goes and I hope to hear from you all soon. If you'd like to ask a question, have advice, or would like to just chat, PLEASE feel free to contact me on any platform you see fit. I'd love to get to know ya!

Until then,

Dave
